David Warner is an International Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm leg breaker, medium bowler.
Warner is from the hometown of Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is also the former captain of the Australian team and a well-known opening batsman.
David Warner started playing cricket at very young of 13. During training, Warner coach insisted him to bat in right-hand, though his mother encouraged to strike left as Warner had a good left arm play.
With the excellent batting, Warner got selected in Under-16 and played for Sydney Coastal Cricket Club. Later, he earned a position in U-19 team and played the debut first-grade match against Sri Lanka.
David Warner played his first ODI debut against South Africa on January 2009. Although he scored only five runs in the first match. After few games, Warner had good batting form, and he scored the first maiden ODI century of 163 runs against Sri Lankan team on 2012.
Warner next played the first debut test match on December 2011 against New Zealand which he scored three runs. In later innings, Warner resumed the good batting style. On December 9 2011, Warner scored the First debut test century against New Zealand team.
Later in 2012, Warner secured the fourth fastest Century from 69 deliveries. He continued his batting style against Sri Lanka, England, and New Zealand.
In 2015, Warned reached his ODI high score of 178 runs against Afganistan team. Later, he beat the record by scoring 179 runs against Pakistan.
Not only in the ODI, but Warner also scored excellent runs in test games. He obtained a high score of 253 runs in a test against the New Zealand team.
In 2015, Warner was the third batsman to achieve the test hundred on both the innings thrice. And also, created a record of fourth fastest Australian batsman to reach 4000 runs in test cricket.
Moreover, David Warner created the record of sixth Australian player to score the back-to-back test centuries against Bangladesh team on December 2017.
Also, Warner selected as captain for ODI series against Sri Lankan team. Due to superb captaincy and batting, Australian won the series by 4-1. Once again, Warner appointed as captain for 2017–18 Trans-Tasman Tri-Series which Australian team won the finals by 19 runs.
Warner has played entirely 74 test games and 106 ODI games. In a total of test and ODI, Warner has secured 10706 runs.
In IPL, Warner named as most Successful batsman. He played for IPL teams such as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils and had scored a total run of 4014.
Some notable plays include scoring of 126 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Also, Warner appointed as captain for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.
